On Quality Control

We always had a hard time understanding why so many companies are switching translators all the time, missing out on the benefit of the translator getting in-depth knowledge of the products etc.

ROn the other hand, we have seen the strangest cases that might explain this, like one translator actually accepting jobs in languages he did not even speak, simply using "machine translations" off a website, and just relying on the fact that the client probably had no knowledge of the actual language either!
Or the "translator" calling us for work, offering some less common languages. We switched the conversation to the language she was offering, and she hung up the phone :-)

Our translators are tested in the specific fields and language combinations we ask them to do, no exception, and we keep close track on the quality of each individual translator.
