Technical translation
and technical knowledge!
Most clients know the feeling:
The translated documentation is returned from the translator,
but the client has no knowledge of the target language and no
way of knowing if the job is done correctly. The documentation
is delivered to the end-user, and the client is holding
his/her breath, hoping not to receive any phonecalls from
laughing or angry end-users.
The background is very simple;
the majority of translation jobs on todays market are of a
technical nature, but the majority of translators are having a
brilliant background in languages, not in technical
issues.
You might even claim, that a higher academic education in
languages just takes the translator further away from the
practical issues, subsequently, spending more money on a
translation is not necessarily solving the problem.
Just take a closer look at a
very common scenario; many clients are going through an
endless list of translators in order to find a reasonable
price on a good quality job. We are highly focused on creating
lasting relationships with our clients, and it works; our
clients realise that we are delivering the tech-knowledge that
has been lacking in all the previous attempts, and they do
come back to us, again and again.
As we are highly focused on
the specialist areas, technical, medical and legal
translations, we are also evaluating and hiring translators
based on their knowledge outside the actual
language-combinations. Checking their talents in languages are
easily done; checking their technical level is only possible
due to our existing pool of high-end technical knowledge.
Leaving a technical
translation to Word2work Translations, you could easily end up
having the job performed by a translator with an engineering
background, as we have several of those onboard, or a
translator with actual hands-on experience in the specific
technical area!
